Weddings & Private Hire

We are very lucky to have hosted a lot of wedding receptions & private events since we launched back in March 2015, with limited availability remaining for 2027 & 2028 filling up already. We have owned several pubs & venues over the years where we also hosted many wedding receptions & corporate events, so we like to think we know a little about wedding & event planning.

You will have the use of the venue all day to allow you to dress the pub. Our license on a Sunday to Thursday is until midnight, & a Friday & Saturday 12.30am. You are welcome to have live music such as band & a DJ, we are permitted to have live music until 10pm & recorded music such as a DJ or playlist until midnight on a weekday & 12.30am on a weekend. We ask bands to set up & sound check before guests arrive, & DJs must use our in-house speakers.

Our feast menu is by far the most popular wedding breakfast menu as it offers something a bit different to the norm, which can also be served as a buffet. We are more than happy to be-spoke a menu to suit your budget & requirements.

If you decide The Lordship is the venue for you then we will invite you to a menu tasting when we can try some wines to match & discuss the plans for the day in detail!

We do not allow external catering except for the cake. Please note menu items & prices are subject to change.

In terms of numbers we can comfortably cater for up to 110 guests for a formal wedding breakfast, & up to 160 for a more informal buffet reception.

For the exclusive use of The Lordship we charge a £1850.00 hire fee, which covers additional costs that do we not ordinarily incur such as a door host, extra staff, event planning, venue set up, etc., & ask for a guaranteed minimum spend (includes food & drink) which varies depending upon the day of the week, which for a Monday to Thursday is £4k, a Friday £6k, Saturday £8k & Sunday £7k.
